It has been raining today. There was a slight chill in
\nthe air.\u00a0 Winter will be here soon.<\/p>\n
The root cellar is done.
\nWe hope we have done it correctly and that our
\nvegetables last through winter.<\/p>\n
Some of the men are leaving in a few days.
\nThey are going on a run to get some things we
\nwill need as it gets colder.<\/p>\n
We set out what we could under the gutters
\nto collect rainwater. We might have running water
\nnow. But, we know that may not always be
\nthe case.<\/p>\n
Robert caught a fox trying to get to the chickens
\nthis morning. We will have to do something about
\nthat.<\/p>\n
I have been typing little stories for the kids on
\nmy typewriter. I still don’t know who gave it to me.
\nI’m a reporter. I’ll find out.<\/p>\n
The rain is still here. Coming and going in slow,
\nsoft, mists.<\/p>\n
