We expect Tevyn and Robert to return any day now with
\nsupplies. But, there’s a good chance they had to go
\nfurther this time.\u00a0 I worry about that hoard of zombies
\nthat passed through. A lot of them died in the moat.<\/p>\n
But there was just so many of them and they must
\nhave passed right through the town Robert and Tevyn
\nusually go to if they didn’t just stick around. Which
\nwould cause a lot of problems for those two.<\/p>\n
It was not so cold outside today. I know that the warmer
\ndays are going to go completely away soon. Not to say
\nit wasn’t chilly but it was sunny enough to set Mira
\nback outside for a little while. It really seemed to
\ndo her a lot of good yesterday.<\/p>\n
Today, Talyn, made a pit and built a fire right there next
\nto her. There was so much heat coming off that fire
\nthat she had to remove some of the blankets she was
\nbundled in.<\/p>\n
Talyn stayed there with her the whole time taking care
\nof the fire. I think he even made her tea.<\/p>\n
I assumed I’d have to care for her alone. And I do at night.
\nBut during the day there is plenty of help.<\/p>\n
Even Trina’s girls do what they can just fetching things
\nfor me or for Mira.<\/p>\n
At night, though, it’ s the worst. The cold seems to
\nmake it worse for her.<\/p>\n
There are nights I climb right in to bed with
\nher and snuggle against her trying to share my body
\nheat.<\/p>\n
You think you can’t or don’t want to do something
\nlike that with a virtual stranger. And I don’t think myself
\na martyr for doing anything for her.<\/p>\n
I think it’s there inside all of us. The ability and desire
\nto help our fellow man. Sometimes we just let
\nour fears prevent us from doing what we know we
\nshould. Even if we genuinely WANT to do it.<\/p>\n
But there is nothing left right now if we don’t
\nhelp. If we don’t love those around us. Whoever
\nthey might be.<\/p>\n
I’m grateful for the ability to keep writing. Even if
\nit’s not great writing. Even if I’ll never write again like
\nI once aspired to.<\/p>\n
Just getting the words out. Heals me a little every
\nday.<\/p>\n
I fear one day maybe my mind won’t still be the
\nsame. That I might go crazy living like this for too
\nlong. Who knows.<\/p>\n
But for now? My mind is still present and still here.<\/p>\n
