It’s rained all day so far.\u00a0 It’s very difficult to get the
\nchores done when it’s raining so much.<\/p>\n
Well, not really difficult to get it done. Just MISERABLE
\nto get it done.<\/p>\n
Mira wanted to go out again. She said she wanted to
\nfeel the rain on her face. She wasn’t making a lot
\nof sense. Stephen keeps asking me if she’s dying.
\nBut I don’t feel like he’s really “asking.”<\/p>\n
I feel like he’s telling himself. Like he’s preparing himself
\nfor it. I answer as honestly as I can.<\/p>\n
“I don’t know.”<\/p>\n
And I don’t. We can assume. But truth is none of
\nus knows what’s wrong with Mira. We’ve talked
\nto her. To find out what her lifestyle was like in
\nthe Before to get some idea what we’re dealing with.<\/p>\n
She was a very active woman. She worked out. Even
\nran marathons for charity. She was a stay at home
\nmother.<\/p>\n
Her husband was a big time commercial lawyer.<\/p>\n
She really had the life. Her and Stephen. They never
\nsaid goodbye to Allen. Her husband. His father.<\/p>\n
He was on a business trip. Out of the country when
\nall this started. Before you know it the phone lines
\nweren’t working properly, internet etc…<\/p>\n
Allen went left for his business trip and a week
\nlater the world was falling apart and they never
\nsaw him again.<\/p>\n
She had everything in the world. Nice cars. Big
\nhouse. And she’s still in the same position the
\nrest of us are. She wouldn’t be if she could have somehow
\n“bought” her way out of this.<\/p>\n
But even money couldn’t change what was happening.<\/p>\n
And here they still are. Still here. Just like the
\nrest of us. And Mira now it seems may be dying.
\nSomething that she COULD have probably paid to
\nfix. Or at least tried to fix….<\/p>\n
But we know she didn’t smoke. She drank the occasional
\nglass of wine with dinner. She ate healthy. She was fit.
\nThere’s just no way of knowing. And what difference does
\nit make? What can we do about it? No matter WHAT it is
\nthat’s making her so sick?<\/p>\n
