I have become Mira’s caretaker.\u00a0 And I have so little experience
\ntaking care of someone other than myself. I lived with Penny
\nbriefly in the Before. But, I certainly didn’t have to take care of
\nher.<\/p>\n
It seems so odd to watch someone dying. When I’ve been
\nreading about you all dying here and there on the boards.<\/p>\n
People get sick. Like when all those girls died in Lu’s
\ngroup. Or when Jack got sick.<\/p>\n
But mostly people die from contact with zombies. Or
\nfrom contact with bad people.<\/p>\n
We don’t have a chance to figure out we’ve got what
\nis seemingly a terminal illness. But, wouldn’t a really
\nbad flu be terminal in the right conditions?<\/p>\n
We are assuming that whatever is wrong with Mira is
\nnot at all contagious seeing as her son has been holed
\nup in the same motel room with her for ages now and
\nhe’s perfectly fine.<\/p>\n
Maybe we’re taking a chance. Maybe “I” am taking a chance
\nwith her in my room now.<\/p>\n
But after talking to the group (at least those not on
\na run) we’ve decided that we have to love her and care
\nfor her and if we all die because of it? Then so be it.<\/p>\n
We could walk out into the fields and come upon a group
\nof zombies and get killed.<\/p>\n
We don’t see them a lot but we know they’re still here.
